VIEWINGS We welcome viewings of our horses and encourage you to do so if possible (government restrictions allowing). Viewings are strictly by appointment only and we ask that you keep as close to your arrival time as possible as we often have multiple viewings in one day. Please let us know at your earliest convenience if you need to cancel/rearrange your viewing. You are welcome to view more than one potential match at a time, however this needs to be agreed prior to your arrival so we can ensure the horse/pony is on the yard for your appointment. We are happy for you to have several consecutive days viewing to get to know the horse/pony better if you would prefer this, again this is by appointment only.
BUYING UNSEEN We have sold many horses and ponies unseen, especially during the 2020 lockdown. If you would like to buy unseen we can send videos and carry out a live video viewing at a time to suit you, as close to a physical viewing as we can offer! When we advertise our horses we include videos of them ridden/moving but can provide further videos such as trotting up, lunging over jumps, being worked with in the stable and all over body shots. Please ask and we can try to accommodate your requests where possible. A sales contract is still required when buying unseen.
VETTINGS/TESTS All of our horses/ponies are open to vetting and any other additional tests or xrays you may require. The costs of these are covered by the potential buyer. On occasion we may have recent vettings with them and they are available to be viewed before deciding if you would like to get a new vetting. We recommend local veterinary clinic The Ark Veterinary Centre, Lockerbie. The practice has a large equine bias, with an experienced, specialised team dedicated to all aspects of equine work. (Please note this is not our own vet)
TRANSPORT Transport can be arranged either by yourselves or we can provide quotes from our usual trusted transporters. Please provide us with the delivery postcode if you would like us to find price/availability from our transporters. LOANS OR TRIALS We do NOT provide trials or loan out our horses. We provide as much information possible to prospective new owners and invite you to ride and ask any questions you may have before committing to buying a Riverside horse/pony.
SALES CONTRACT All of our horses and ponies are sold with a sales contract which must be signed before it leaves the yard. This will either be emailed to new buyers to be signed & returned before delivery or signed on day of collection by owner. By law if we have mis-sold your horse/pony this contract covers you to return it to us within 28days of purchase- this is not a trial period and returns are only allowed if we have mis-sold the horse/pony to you.
